About this product
The Wilson Staff D200 8 Iron is a single, right-handed, game-improvement club with a graphite regular shaft. It features a stainless steel blade head, mid-high launch, and a 35-degree loft. The UST Mamiya Elements Chrome 59 shaft and factory grip offer a premium feel. At $54.99, this is a good option for replacing a single iron or testing the model.
Our take
I grabbed the Wilson Staff D200 8 iron to replace a worn-out club, and it's been a pleasant surprise. The graphite shaft makes it easy to swing, and the high launch helps get the ball airborne. The feel is soft for a game-improvement iron. My only gripe is that the 8-iron loft is 35 degrees, which is a bit weaker than modern sets, so distances might be shorter. Still, for $55, it's a quality single club that performs well for higher handicappers.
